iPad - now with wings

So. The interwebz are all aflutter with news (and jokes) of Apple's newest product, the iPad. There seems to be some confusion as to what this thing actually does. Is it a super high-tech feminine hygiene product or is it a supersized iPod? And Steve Jobs declaring the iPad "more intimate than a laptop" only added fuel to the name-bashing flames. I think it's safe to say that no women were involved in the naming of this product.

But, silly name aside, I think I wants one. At first I thought I might wait until the second generation is released (because we all know the Apple peeps are already hatching ideas for iPad 2.0 (now with wings!)), but then, this morning, as I was bouncing back and forth between perusing the interwebz on my netbook and playing Clue on my iPhone (shut up, I like it), I found myself thinking, "gee, it would be nice to be able to do this all on one device and dammit, this netbook screen is small and it does not respond very well when I try to drag icons around the screen with my finger." Oh. Now I need the iPad. So maybe I'll spring for it in a few weeks or maybe I'll just buy myself a shiny 27-inch iMac instead. Because I really do need an iMac, so I should probably spring for that first. Need, people, need. Seriously. I'm using a PC. 'Nuff said.

Well, hello there, 2010 - kickin' back with Pants on the Ground!

Dear blog (and nonexistent readership):

I've been very neglectful of you. But it's a new year, it's a new decade and I'm feeling like I need to get my snark on (with a little bit of pointless ramble thrown in, too). So, I'm thinking I might try to update this blog. Don't get too excited- this is not a new year's resolution and even if it were, I would never keep it anyway. But I'll be hanging around, posting my random ramblings when the fancy strikes.

And on a completely random note (see, I'm getting off to a good start here), I had to post this hilarious (HILARIOUS, bishes, for real) video of American Idol's "Pants on the Ground" man - this dude rocked my socks and had me laughing so hard I was crying.

And just for the record, I watched the video again today and it was still just as hilarious the second (and uh, third and fourth) time(s) around as it was last night.

Someone give this guy a recording deal. I want this song as a ring tone.
