weekend wishes: peaches and green
We've had an unseasonably warm winter so far this year, which means spring fever is hitting me even earlier. And what combination is more spring-like than grassy green and petal peach?

from my studio:: speaking of inspired...
In case you missed it, I wrote a guest post yesterday over at Brandi Girl blog where I took a photograph, created a color palette, and then built an outfit around that color palette (go check it out!).
I'm thinking I need to start a similar column on my blog. But for today, since I'm still inspired by the photograph I used, I'm sharing a pair of earrings I designed using the color palette from the photo (made with artisan lampwork beads, of course!).

And yeah, I know I haven't posted as frequently as I anticipated, but I've got a few projects I'm working on behind the scenes and I'm getting ready to head to LA for a week (yay, yay, yay!), so there's much to do! I'll be back in mid-June with regular posts again, and I'm hoping to get one more post in this week before I head off for vacation. But don't forget, you can still find my iPhone photography over on Tumblr and, of course, you can chat with me on Twitter.

Inspired by:: Paris in winter
I'm all moved in to my new house. Big YAY! I'm so excited to start the renovating and decorating process. This will probably keep me busy for the next decade or so.
We're planning to start with the third floor, which will be my studio, and I have a very clear picture of what I want there - lots of greys, creams and taupes with dark wood and antique white wood accents (and this Pottery Barn workstation). My inspiration for the entire room is Paris in Winter.
I poked around on Flickr and found some wonderful pics to help get me in the redecorating mood (as if buying a new house didn't already make me want to direct deposit half of my paycheck to Home Depot):

PS- Yes, I'll post some before and after shots (and maybe some during shots, too, since the idea of me renovating anything just seems like it could produce some pretty hilarious photo opps).

Inspired // California
Wow, it's been two weeks since my last post on this blog. Shame on me. But I have a decent excuse. I was on vacation in San Diego! Nothing inspires me like the beach and cities, so San Diego, being a city by the beach, is pretty much inspiration perfection as far as I'm concerned. We had a great time, I took over 1000 pictures, and I'm still busy uploading and editing them (in between studying for midterm tests and completing midterm projects- don't be jealous).
Here are a few pictures I took and then had fun with in Photoshop.
