1. Matching earring/necklace sets. Go ahead. Live on the edge. Wear your pearl necklace with silver hoops.
2. Failure. Good thing it's not an option.
3. Wedding planning. That's why I'm not doing it.
Hi! I'm glad you found this blog. Feel free to look around, but just wanted to let you know that I no longer update this blog and I'm now blogging over at Into The Glimmer. I hope you'll join me there! Cheers!

Oh, aqua :: recent shopping
So, since my recent obsession with an aquamarine engagement ring has been squashed*, I'm turning my obsession with the color to other wearables, like dresses and non-engagement-y type jewelry.
Vintage aqua rhinestone earrings and vintage starfish brooch from Merelle | Lampwork beads by Chase Designs | Freshly Minted Dress from Modcloth
I plan to rework the vintage pieces into something new and I'm going to make a pair of earrings with the lampwork beads similar to these I made previously. And I can totally see me rocking out in the Freshly Minted dress with black capri leggings, a boyfriend blazer, and my nude Dolce Vita heels (and maybe one of those aquamarine cocktail rings I love so much).
*A highly reputable local jeweler talked me out of aquamarine since the stone is too fragile for every day wear and tear. So instead, we are looking at blue diamonds, purple sapphires (which look a lot like tanzanite), and possibly, blue-green tourmaline.

Speaking of California...
You didn't think I'd go all the way to San Diego and not shop, did you? Here are two yummy pieces I picked up at one of my new favorite boutiques, Shop AnnMarie in Del Mar.
Both pieces are from LA-based indie designer, Theme.

Inspired // California
Wow, it's been two weeks since my last post on this blog. Shame on me. But I have a decent excuse. I was on vacation in San Diego! Nothing inspires me like the beach and cities, so San Diego, being a city by the beach, is pretty much inspiration perfection as far as I'm concerned. We had a great time, I took over 1000 pictures, and I'm still busy uploading and editing them (in between studying for midterm tests and completing midterm projects- don't be jealous).
Here are a few pictures I took and then had fun with in Photoshop.
